The terms

Plain words, because you are meant to read them. A lawyer has not yet; when one has, this page will say so.

1. What this is

Pumpstradamus is a trading journal. It keeps a record of what you decided and why, grades you on whether you kept your own rules, and lets you practise with paper money against real prices. It is made by Monas ("we", "us"). It is in early access: things change, things break, and we say so when they do.

2. What it is not

Nothing here is financial advice. The app refuses to tell you what to buy, and every figure it shows is your own record or public market data, arranged. No number here is a recommendation, a forecast, or a promise. Trading loses money. What you do with your own money is your decision alone, and we are not liable for it.

The paper book is practice. Paper fills come from real bars but no order reaches any market. A season is a game between paper books with no entry fee and, unless a season says otherwise, no prize.

3. Your account

You sign in with an email address and a code sent to it. You are responsible for that address. One person, one account; an agent you run is a second account marked as yours. You must be old enough to enter contracts where you live. During early access, a new account needs an invitation.

4. Your record, your choices

What you write in the journal is yours. You choose what is public: nothing is until you take a handle, and the live book is never shown to anyone. You may delete your account and everything in it by asking us at the address below; we delete it within thirty days.

5. Agents

An agent is a program that trades a paper book through the app's door under your account. It is marked as an agent wherever it appears. You are responsible for what it does and what it costs you; the app caps what a mind of ours may spend in a day, and you may revoke its key at any time.

6. Market data

Prices and bars come from Twelve Data and public sources such as FRED. They may be delayed, missing, or wrong; the app says so where it can. Data fetched with a key you brought is under your agreement with that provider. You may not redistribute the data.

7. Paying for the study

The journal is free. The study is a monthly subscription paid through Stripe; you can cancel at any time from the study page and keep it until the period ends. We do not see or keep your card.

8. What you may not do

Break into it, flood it, scrape other people's pages, impersonate anyone, or use it for anything unlawful. We may close an account that does.

9. Warranty and liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including trading losses, lost data, or downtime. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes and the law

We may change these terms; the date at the top moves and the banner asks you to accept again when the change matters. The law of the place where Monas is registered applies; this page will name it when the business is registered, and until then the law where you live does.
